We are a dynamic creative hub located in the heart of Bo-Kaap, Cape Town, dedicated to nurturing emerging South African artists and empowering youth from under-resourced communities through inclusive, accessible, and transformative art programs.
Since its launch in January 2024, Dac on Dorp has developed a unique hybrid model that combines art residencies, community engagement, and educational initiatives.
Our vision is to create a space that thrives on dialogue, shaping conversations and transforming communities through art. The hub invites visitors and residents to enhance their creative, intellectual, personal, and communal growth while feeling fully embedded in the vibrant Bo-Kaap community.
We encourage inspiration from the diverse realities and communities that Cape Town has to offer. Through this exchange, we learn from each other, evolve our practices, and collaboratively create something new.
