Residency Alumni on the Rise: Upcoming Shows for Andile Bhala & Hugo Kabeya

We would like to congratulate our former residency beneficiaries, Andile Bhala and Hugo Kabeya, on their upcoming group exhibitions.

We are thrilled to celebrate Hugo Kabeya, whose work will be featured in the upcoming group exhibition And Yet We Imagine at Climate Lounge. Hugo is a talented Congolese artist based in Cape Town, and his piece, In Between the Lines, explores themes of memory, identity, and socio-political landscapes. The exhibition opens next week.

We also extend our congratulations to Andile Bhala on his upcoming exhibition in France. Works from his Inkumbulo exhibition will be showcased as part of ArtEssFlow’s collaborative group exhibition at Kiff & Marais Gallery in Paris, featuring four outstanding artists from across the African continent.

If you’re in Paris, don’t miss the exhibition running from 8–18 April 2025, with the opening on Thursday, 10 April at 6 PM.

We are incredibly proud of both artists and look forward to seeing their creative brilliance continue to shine.
