Sesethu Xhosana- A 29 years old female multidisciplinary visual artist, fashion designer and therapeutic art community practitioner originally from the Eastern Cape, grew up in KwaZulu Natal and currently based in Johannesburg. As the founder of Xhanti Couture, which is a sustainable fashion brand that transforms reclaimed and offcut textiles into thoughtfully crafted garments and wearable art. My creative practice explores identity, healing, sustainability and storytelling through textiles, mixed media and community engagement. through my work, I aim to inspire confidence, craftsmanship, nurture meaningful connections and demonstrate how art can be a powerful tool for personal and collective transformation. I am honoured to be the Artist in Residence and look forward to creating, broadening my horizons and sharing this journey with the community of Bo Kaap.
